The New Series Years. Although not sent out to the public, BBC Wales produced a range of promotional postcards for the new series of Doctor Who. These consisted of both generic image cards, and cards for most of the episodes. SERIES ONEFour postcards used for initial marketing of the series. Note the subtle addition of a web address on the last one. A card was produced for Doctor Who ConfidentialTHE CHRISTMAS INVASIONFor the 'Christmas Invasion' Card of the Doctor, Rose, Jackie and Mickey, two variants were produced, one with the text in English on the back, the other with the text in Welsh. A card was produced for Doctor Who Confidential: THE RUNAWAY BRIDESERIES THREEVOYAGE OF THE DAMNEDSERIES FOURThe following card was a promotional item with the schedule for the start of the season on the back: With thanks to Jenny Martin, Christopher Hill, Richard Walter and David J Howe for images in this Gallery.

David - great stuff - if these were not given out to the public - who got them?? Were they given out with press packs etc and as sales packages??? Have some been sold through e-bay???

I have a spare Leela card - would anyone be interested in a swap for a similar card - or a swap plus cash for a hartnell, troughton or pertwee card???

Thanks for updating the new series Fan Cards section David. I also have a Hong Kong variant of the "orange" backed CE and BP card with additional wording on the front of the card - happy to scan and email to you if you wish?

There don't appear to have been any episode cards produced from Series 3 so far (just the photo shoot pics of DT and FA). However there is a new card for "Sarah Jane Adventures" which is rather nice!! Richard [ ]

Well you can try writing especially as BBC Wales will be trying to promote SJA at the moment!! All the DW related postcards seem to have been mainly produced for handing out at press events/series launches etc rather than for sending out by post.
The principal cast do sign and hand out at filming and most of the items on ebay have originated from Cardiff (no surprises there).
The best way to get the cards is from ebay - usually they go for reasonable prices but there are a few "rare" ones such as the hologram 9th Doctor and Captain Jack in the Tardis which attract some silly prices.
Good luck!
Richard
