By Steve Tribe BBC Books RRP: £14.99 (But much cheaper if you know where to look I've generally steered clear of the licenced non-fiction Doctor Who books focused on the modern series as most are either too basic a cash-in or just not very interesting, however things do seem to be changing and the content becoming more appealing. I saw The Time Travellers almanac in Woolworths a while ago and just a quick flip through was enough to grab my attention as indeed was the cover, previously in the same vein as this book was Garry Russels A-Z but that one failed to interest me one bit whereas this Almanac did just the opposite! This is a tribute to the Superb overll design of the book, starting with the striking picture used for the Cover. I can't praise the design enough as the book is simply dripping with exciting pictures and even some actual design shots from behind the scenes. The actual content is rather hard to explain. The Time Travellers Almanac is essentially a guide-book to the universe as seen in Doctor Who, it covers the Timeline, the trivia, the people, the places and much much more.... Take it from a long toothed, rather jaded and suspicious reader of Doctor Who Non-fiction - this is a Brilliant Tome to dip into. Look it over in the shop, Buy it.
